Terrible service

In July 2024 we stayed at this hotel and in several standard rooms we found traces of bedbugs. Rusty black stains on mattresses, bloodstains on the bed linen and exoskeletons under the side table next to our bed. In one room I found a living bedbug in the seam of a mattress hidden at the headboard of a bed. They don't use a molton nor a martress cover on the bed. They only put one sheet on top of the bed that doesn't cover the ides of the matress. In the matress seams you fimd hair and other dirt drom previous guests. I requestes extra sheets to cover up the whole mattress.

We travelled to hotel Mediterraneo with Corendon. Due to the bedbugs we requested Corendon to change hotel. Corendon said that when we want to change hotel, we had to make a new reservation at another hotel on the island and that was for our own expence. We were schocked, in the case of a bedbug infested hotel, Corendon should have offered us an alternative hotel. Unfortunately they didn't so there was no other option for us than staying at the infested hotel.

The standard rooms in the hotel are very out dated and poorly maintained, not worth the 4* rating. The cleaning is done poorly, bedsheets were changed only one time during our 2 week stay. The towels and bed linen had holes and the
pillows were very lumpy. These really needed to be replaced. I requested a new pillow but they didn't have any available at the hotel. This hotel doesn't meet the 4* rating.
As the hotel is all-inclusive and some guests drink too much alcohol. One afternoon a male guest vomited next to and into the mainpool. The Hotel removed a bit of the vomit out of the poolwater but no further actions were raken. They should have removed all the water from the pool and then desinfect it. Well they didn't, unaware guests withtheir children were still swimming in that pool.

Our transfer to the airport was 50 minutes delayed due to a broken bus.
Our Corendon flight back to Amsterdam was 1,5 hour delayed. When you want to check in for your flight, you need to pay an extra of €10,- p.p. to make a seat reservation. If not, then you are not sure if you can travel next to your child.

When we arrived in the Netherlands a company that was specialised in pest control came to pick up our clothes and suitcased to prevent further bedbug infection at my house and neighbors. This had cost me €350,- Corendon should pay this back to me. Lees meer over deze vakantie >>
